This policy explains what personal data Sonomics, Inc. collects when you use sonomics.com, why we collect it, who we share it with and what you can do about it. It also lists the cookies and similar technologies the website stores on your device. Until you answer the banner shown on your first visit, this website stores nothing beyond what is strictly necessary to display the page you requested.
Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device and can read on later visits. In this policy the word “cookies” also covers similar technologies, in particular your browser’s local storage, which this website relies on far more than it relies on cookies.
Until you answer the banner, sonomics.com sets no cookies at all. The entries listed above as local storage are created by the website in your own browser and never leave your device. The messages you send to the assistant are, however, transmitted to our servers, as described below.
Why we use them

Required for the website to work and to respect the choices you make. Your answer to the cookie banner belongs here: without storing it we would have to ask you again on every page.

Remember preferences you set yourself — the interface language, the light or dark appearance, and the conversations you had with the AI assistant.

Help us understand how the website is used so that we can improve it. These are used only with your consent, and declining them does not limit any part of the website.

Local storage entries are written by the website itself, stay in your browser and are not transmitted to us.

The contact form
When you send us a message through the form on this website, we receive the name, email address and message text you enter. We use them to answer your enquiry and to keep the correspondence that follows from it.
The form is delivered by EmailJS, so the data you submit passes through their service. We do not use it for marketing and we do not sell it.
The AI assistant
The chat window on this website is answered by an AI assistant, not by a person. The messages you type are sent to Sonomics servers and forwarded to Anthropic, PBC (United States), the provider of the Claude models, which generates the answer using Claude Sonnet.
Conversations are also stored on our servers so that the assistant can follow the context of your questions. They are currently kept without an automatic deletion schedule. If you would like your conversation removed, write to info@sonomics.com and we will delete it.
Please do not enter passwords, payment details or other sensitive personal information into the chat. If you would rather speak to a person, write to info@sonomics.com.
Third parties
Google Analytics 4 is provided by Google. It receives usage data about your visit and sets the cookies listed above, but only after you accept analytics. You can also install Google’s browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics on every website you visit.
The contact form is delivered by EmailJS. It sets no cookies of its own; the name, email address and message you submit are transmitted through their service so that your enquiry reaches us.
The AI assistant relies on Anthropic, PBC, which receives the text of your messages in order to generate a reply, as described above.
Legal bases
Analytics rely on your consent. We ask for it on the banner, and you can withdraw it at any time on this page.
The contact form, the AI assistant and the strictly necessary storage listed above rely on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and in running a working website. When your message concerns a possible project, we also process the data in order to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, and object to our use of it. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time, and where it is technically applicable you can ask us to transfer your data to another provider.
To exercise any of these rights, write to info@sonomics.com. We answer within one month; if a request turns out to be complex, we will tell you and explain the delay.
If you believe we handle your data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of the country where you live or work. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
Your choices
On your first visit you can accept or decline analytics cookies on the banner at the bottom of the page. Declining takes one click and does not limit any part of the website.
Your choice is remembered for 12 months, after which we ask again. You can change it at any time.

Managing storage in your browser
